Jakarta, 26 June 2024 – The Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis Center (PPATK) revealed the shocking finding that more than 1,000 members of the House of Representatives (DPR) and Regional Representatives Council (DPRD) are allegedly involved in online gambling activities. This finding raises deep concerns regarding the integrity of the people’s representatives and the potential negative impact of online gambling on the wider community.
Online gambling has become a scourge that threatens various circles of society. The ease of access, the lure of big prizes, and the psychological manipulation used by online gambling sites keep many people trapped in this vicious cycle.
